I took off my shirt and lay splayed out on the grass. I looked at the stars and for a moment I felt the earth move. I heard bats in the sky and I felt bugs crawling all over me. I stared down my future and challenged my past. I was beautiful and frightened. I was calm and electrified. I never wanted to leave but I was dieing to move.
